Hey Sis!
My name is Shanice and I am the Founder of Sistas in Christ Ministries.
I grew up in church and went to church with my family, but I did not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I thought that God may exist, but I didn’t realise the significance of Jesus Christ or Who the Holy Spirit was. I was popular in school, with an out-going personality, but secretly I dealt with very low self-esteem and self-worth.
In my teenage years, I sought acceptance through drinking, smoking and clubbing, whilst battling with bouts of depression. This soon developed into seeking validation from men in my young adult years when I entertained toxic and abusive behaviours as if they were normal.
New Beginnings...
I got to a point in life where I had the boyfriend, I had a good job and my own place, but I was still feeling unfulfilled.
Due to the toxic nature of my relationship, I would often find myself self-medicating with alcohol to sleep throughout the working week. I wondered if there was more to life than this.
I decided to read a devotional my Grandmother had sent me and prayed to ask God if He was real. After almost 6 months, I was about to give up until I watched a sermon my friend had posted on Facebook. I realised that God did exist and that I wasn’t living my life the way God originally intended. I realised that I was a sinner who had fallen short of His grace (Romans 3:23). I realised that if I repented, believed, and confessed, that I could accept forgiveness from God (Romans 10:9&10). I realised that Jesus Christ was God’s only begotten Son that He sent to die for my sins and so that I may have everlasting (eternal) life (John 3:16). That night, I bowed my knee beside my bed and asked God to forgive me and help me to change. I made a decision to accept God’s gift of Salavation through His Son Jesus Christ.
That was and by far still is, the best decision I made. I sought a relationship with God through prayer, studying His word and worshiping Him. I discovered my true identity by cultivating such habits and am now walking in my calling and purpose.

Knowing Him Knowing You...
Sistas in Christ Ministries was birthed from a passion to see women know God and walk in the freedom that Jesus Christ died to give them.
Starting off as home bible studies, then WhatsApp, Zoom and now Instagram and Facebook. We aim to build a community of women that have come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, discover their true identity and who are empowered to walk in their true calling and purpose.
